When even the Airports Company of SA Costa ( Sacsa ) advances its plan to expand and modernize the Airport Rafael Nunez, with total investments of 103 billion pesos , resulting from the extension of the concession , its directives to the ANI presented a new proposal for expansion investments represent 300 billion pesos.

The revelation was made yesterday in Cartagena by the Minister of Transport , Cecilia Alvarez, and the president of the National Infrastructure Agency ( ANI ), Luis Fernando Andrade.

This proposal would be subject to a new grant , said the President of the ANI .

Sacsa The plan includes the construction of a second runway or taxiway aircraft that would stretch 1,600 meters, which would parallel the current track to make more dynamic air operations , expansion of existing platforms and passenger terminal and the construction of nine bridges direct approach , among other works , which would allow the airport to be able to mobilize up to 6 million passengers a year.
In 2013 , the Rafael Núñez mobilized 3,396,100 people , the fourth busiest air terminal passengers in the country, after the airport El Dorado (Bogotá), Alfonso Bonilla Aragon ( Cali ) and Jose Maria Cordova ( Rio Negro ) .

REACTION

Although the proposal has only just been delivered and lacking rigor analyzes , President of ANI said that “this is a very important and beautiful Cartagena project , which would duplicate many areas of the terminal .” He explained that this would be a new grant that would retrieve the new investment.

CURRENT WORKS

The renovation of the Airport Rafael Nunez, who Sacsa ahead and have expanded the passenger terminal , repave the track and platforms , building the perimeter road (developing ) , remodel the facade , among other areas.
